Abstract :
Ultralow loss fiber advances are discussed. Applying pure-silica-core, loss of 0.15dB/km has been realized using manufacturable processes, whose Aeff are appropriately enlarged for 100G and beyond systems considering practicable trance-oceanic transmission.
