Abstract
This paper investigates the inter-operator spectrum sharing problem in the local area indoor dense deployment scenario. A system framework is designed and function of each entity is discussed for solving this problem. Also a spectrum sharing strategy is developed based on the proposed architecture. This strategy improves the spectrum efficiency by offering each femtocell the opportunity to use the whole spectrum resources. Interference is controlled by graph theory-based intra operator spectrum allocation and Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) threshold-based inter-operator spectrum coordination. Intensive system level simulations give a detailed verification of the performance of this spectrum sharing strategy.
