Abstract :
Reproduction of a multi-source sound field is an important problem which should be considered in acoustic signal processing. A common method is to use an array of loudspeakers to reproduce the desired sound field where the driving function is the key issue. In this paper, a multi-source sound field reproduction method using cylindrical harmonic analysis is proposed. Cylindrical harmonic analysis is used to derive the loudspeaker driving functions. Specifically, this paper presents an analysis on the impact of cylindrical harmonic orders for the truncation problem in actual system. The experiments indicate that the proposed method can reproduce the target multi-source sound field accurately with a large range of effective listening area.
