  • Abstract
    We propose a two steps signal strength difference (TS-SSD) based localization technique in unknown parameter of path loss environment. First, we eliminate the influence of model parameter using two differences of received signal strength based on conventional path loss model. Then, a Gaussian Newton iteration method and a starting value selection strategy are derived to obtain higher accuracy of the source localization. To alleviate the influence of the noise, a multichannel smooth approach is discussed. The simulation and real measurement results both show the superiority of our proposed algorithm.
