Abstract :
The high atomic to molecular ion ratio is important for hydrogen ion sources. Experimental investigation of the water vapor injection into the hydrogen Penning discharge of the ion source has been made. Such injection increases the proton component of the ion beam and changes emittance with the same discharge parameters.
