Abstract :
Based on the service architecture of the Korean intelligent transportation system (ITS) master plan in the making, stated preference (SP) data of the future ITS services have been collected which includes both "would be" maximum purchasing and monthly operating costs of each service for the potential ITS customers. Then, the international comparison of service functions and desired deployment priorities among services have been examined for Japan, US, and Korea, respectively. In addition, a logit-based discrete choice model has been formulated, calibrated with the surveyed SP data, and used to forecast demand of services in the future.
