Abstract :
As the concrete jungles started to expand and more and more people flocked towards offices, a great need exists to control the indoor environment. Many companies struggle to maintain the perfect indoor environment for employees, as well as from an energy point of view. The challenge is to find a good balance between employee comfort, energy efficient management and the national standards. Every company is financially driven and due to this fact, energy efficiency is becoming a major role-player on the bottom line while employee satisfaction and comfort is on the other end of the scale. It must be considered that there are major differences between the cultures of employees and their perception of indoor comfort. The same apply for gender preferences.
