Abstract :
A multi-radio wireless mesh network has the potential to provide higher throughput and a variable-width spectrum allocating strategy can bring this potential into play. This paper presents an improved packing algorithm base on interference condition in the wireless communication model and the characters of wireless mesh networks. Due to the fact that interference range varies with its channel width, our aim is to minimize the interference between nodes. We construct a looser structure to allocate spectrum to nodes and their neighboring nodes so that changed interference range of each nodes will result in less interference or even no interference.
