Abstract :
The practical implementation of a compact two element handset antenna, a helical element and a internal element, is presented. The electromagnetic characteristics of the elements, including VSWR, gain pattern and polarization ratio, and the envelope correlation coefficient between the two element ports are investigated. Both the numerical and experimental results show that the compact antennas can be used for future WCDMA MIMO terminal system.
