Abstract :
In this paper, two visual measures-the dyadic wavelet chart and Poincare image-are applied to the fault identification for a series of time domain data obtained from a four-cylinder vehicle diesel engine block in the condition of first compressing ring gumming. The results show that the measures have the capacity of identifying faults successfully
