Abstract :
A new approach has recently been introduced to determinate the convex hull of radiating or scattering systems from field data and, till now, its performance has been only numerically tested in the case of metallic scatterers. The paper presents the results obtained by processing real world data in the scattering case, providing a more realistic analysis of the effectiveness of the method. Dielectric as well as metallic scatterers have been considered, either in the linear or the circular scanning geometry. The analysis shows that a good estimate of the convex hull is achieved also in experimental cases.
