Abstract :
DoDAF is latest military systems architecture framework approved by the U.S. Department of Defense. It is important and interesting to study DoDAF for the design of the complicated large scale systems. However, DoDAF just provides non-standardized view modes to describe the products of architecture, and it may cause the inconsistencies of performance and understanding for the same system design in practical system design process. In this work, the core entity elements relationship of architecture in DoDAF is analyzed. The constraint specification of views generation in the architecture design process based on DoDAF is studied. A dynamic data model specification composed by events as the basic unit is proposed in Integrated Dictionary. The specification can give some constraints for the views generation in the architecture design based on DoDAF to ensure the consistency of the dynamic behavior characteristics of architecture. Finally, architecture of the Distant Early Warning System for USA is specifically designed based on the specification to show the effectiveness of the proposed specification for the design based on DoDAF.
