Abstract :
A new technique is proposed in the estimation of the frequency offset present in received communication signals imbedded in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels. This method consists of applying an extra filtering operation to the received signal after matched filtering and before the application of any frequency offset estimator. A new Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) is derived to be compared to the simulation results obtained.
