Abstract :
This paper brings forward a hardware design method of reconfigurable CNC system which makes use of the abundant logic resources of FPGA and programmable characteristics. It introduces the scheme of a CNC system which has regarded FPGA as the control centre. It mainly represents the thought of reconfigurable design, design of programmable pulse signal generator, the speed control of stepping motor, and the communication of FPGA and PC. As a result, this system has fast response and strong reconfiguration ability. It can reduce the number of peripheral interface devices and result in cost-reduction.
