Abstract :
This paper introduces the development of reverse engineering technique and its application on design of autobody out surface. According to the function of CMM, a new measurement method is proposed, with which the theory of surface reconstruction based on scattered data is researched and the relevant software is developed. The application shows that the method involved in this paper is stable and reliable
