Abstract :
Researching the optical modulation schemes is one of the key techniques in FSO. But it is usually difficult and liable to make mistakes to evaluate performance parameters for some researchers. In this paper, the theoretical derivation and comparatively analysis are done on modulation symbolic waveforms, average slots width, and transmission power and bandwidth requirement for the five digital modulation schemes (OOK, PPM, DPPM, DPIM and DH-PIM) under different parameters. In order to more easy and convenience, on the base of theoretical results, the analysis and demo software is designed and realized by using MATLAB GUI platform. The modulation symbolic waveforms and performance indices varying with the variation of modulation parameters will be calculated, and comparison curves of performance indices can be plotted in this demo software.
