Abstract
The simulation and modeling are significant to design, test and validate the complex systems, especially for the cyber-physical systems (CPS). However, as the systems become more distributed, heterogeneous and autonomous, an intelligent framework is needed to reflect the characteristics of CPS. In this paper, we discuss limitations of several commonly used simulation frameworks when applied to CPS. To simulate CPS comprehensively and intelligently, we propose an agent-based simulation framework for CPS, which can better reflect the autonomy of CPS. Then, the simulation framework is applied to an indoor comfort control system which belongs to the domain of the building and energy saving study. The result shows that the designed system can work efficiently.
