  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the group delay ripples (GDR) bring by some microwave circuits and their influence on broadband communication systems. First the definition of group delay ripples is reviewed in theory and their physical meaning is interpreted in practice. Then the ways how to select and design suitable circuits to reduce system group delay ripples are discussed, several tips in the design and using of continuous-time (CT) analog filter and frequency converter are given. Sometimes an analog group delay equalizer is necessary, so a proposal on how to select and use the group delay equalizer is also given at the end.
