Abstract :
A feedback and rate control protocol for two-hop wireless networks is proposed. The protocol is based on estimates of a function of the channel gains, the Perron root, which can be efficiently computed in the wireless channel by exploiting the superposition property. It is shown that the proposed protocol significantly reduces the training and feedback overhead. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the protocol enables efficient rate allocation in two-hop wireless networks.
