  • Abstract
    A unity-power-factor hybrid switching rectifier based on SVPWM is proposed in this paper. It contains a six-pulse thyristor bridge and a dc chopper. Then space vector pulse width modulation method is used to control the stability of dc link current and solve poor power factor with a flicker generation. A suitable LC filter parameters are introduced to maintain the grid-side voltage be in phase with the current, and at the same time the power factor of the electric network is further improved. The excellent performance of the presented rectifier is verified by simulation and experimental waveforms, a low-current total harmonic distortion (THD) and grid-side sinusoidal current are effectively achieved.
