Abstract :
Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) is a key application in the smart grid, and its charging activity has become a vital threat to the grid operation. Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging and discharging technology can effectively utilize the PEVs to enhance the reliability and economical efficiency of the grid system operation, and the V2G-based PEV charging and discharging facilities provide a platform for the V2G-PEVs utilization. This paper comprehensively analyzes and summarizes the operational model, key techniques and study the progress of existing V2G-based PEV charging and discharging facilities, then proposed their development priorities that are suitable for China´s grid construction, providing ideas for the construction of PEV charging and discharging facilities as well as developing V2G technologies in China.
