Abstract :
Data available at intelligent measurement transmitters are considered and exploited in order to implement predictive maintenance algorithms. The procedure is worked out with the help of some examples concerning differential pressure transmitters and echo level transmitters. Expert knowledge about possible misoperations and failure conditions of each transmitter is needed to develop algorithm rules.
