Abstract :
Decreased QRS potentials during myocardial ischemia or infarction is expressed in high frequency ECG (HFECG). However, in time-domain and spectral analysis it is difficult to differentiate between ischemia and post-infarction scars. The authors implemented an original method of spectro-temporal mapping to resolve this problem. 8 Patients with coronary heart disease after myocardial infarction (MI) and 16 without MI enrolled in this study, and 12 healthy subjects were examined as controls. The frequency contents of above 10 dB amplitude, measured in the 150-500 Hz range were more reduced in MI patients than in those without MI. Spectrotemporal maps might differentiate between these groups of CHD-patients.<>
