Abstract :
In recent years, there has been a considerable interest in Renewable Energy. This paper discusses an educational effort that incorporates Renewable Energy in a Senior Design course offered at a university in northeastern United States. The senior design project provides an environment that engage students in their studies. Multidisciplinary design teams were used whereby the students interact with their peers and with the faculty inside and outside of the class room/laboratory. Some design examples are offered to show our experiences of incorporating Renewable Energy projects in the senior design course. A concluding section discusses our experiences from offering such a course.
