Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Interactions of a pulsed electron beam with copper, molybdenum and fused silica targets are presented. Samples were submitted to energy up to 100 J/cm/sup 2/ delivered by a pulsed electron source (3 MeV - 3 kA - 60 ns duration). The thermoelastic response was measured using a differential laser interferometer near a target chamber. Data reduction based on hydrodynamic simulations give the Gruneisen and bulk parameters.
