Abstract :
We present a clock synchronization scheme using wavelets that completely eliminates the pattern-dependent jitter. This is achieved by obtaining the optimal pre-filter using a particular linear combination of the wavelet and its translates. We further investigate synchronization methods for modulation schemes employing orthogonal shaping pulses with overlapping spectra, and explicit expressions for the variance of the timing jitter in the tracking mode are derived
