Abstract :
A triple-band planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) is studied in this paper. Combining the slit-cutting technology with a U-style parasite branch-line, a GSM/DCS/PCS triple-band PIFA antenna has been obtained. To achieve a better impedance matching, a slit between feeding and shorting point is introduced and optimized. The antenna sample has a good performance that the measured bandwidths (with -5 dB return loss) are 102 (880-982) MHz for low band and 334 (1744-2078) MHz for high band. Simulated and measured results of the antenna sample show that it can meet the requirements of the GSM/DCS/PCS bands communication system.
