Abstract :
In this paper the experimental set-up for the measurement of the current pulses generated at each electrode of a C24 Nucleus Cochlear Implant (Cochlear LTD) is presented. The stimuli were modulated by an ad-hoc software, transferred through an interface to the speech processor, encoded as RF signal and delivered via coil to the receiver stimulator and hence to the electrode array of the implant. We used an experimental system where each electrode of the implant array is connected to an external port and the current waveform generated by each electrode is measured by appropriate electronics.
