  • Abstract
    Automated analysis of intracoronary ultrasound (ICUS) images is hindered by noise, motion artifacts, and poor signal to noise ratio, making it necessary for operator editing of erroneous boundaries. The authors propose a gradient based metric: boundary gradient ratio (BGR) as an acceptance criterion for boundary quality, which could be used as a screening method for detection of suboptimal boundaries generated from an automated system.<>
