Abstract

Vehicle monitoring system is a high technology system that includes geographical information system (GIS), global positioning system (GPS) and modern communications technology. Vehicles monitoring system can monitor and deploy of the vehicles reasonable through the accurate positioning, with communication technology and digital maps. The paper introduces the composition, the operating principle, the overall functions and system structure of vehicle monitoring system, expatiates on the design of monitoring center in detail, and discusses real-time dispatch and compilation of dispatch preplan at last.
