An intrusion detection system based on WiMAX

Through the analysis of some security vulnerabilities of WiMAX network and according to the characteristics of the WiMAX network and the research status of intrusion detection, this paper designs and realizes an intrusion detection system based on WiMAX which has the following two features contrast with the existing methods: (1) the full consideration of the vulnerabilities, characteristics and performance of WiMAX network; (2) designs and uses a kind of improved WEP algorithm. Experiments show that this intrusion detection system designed in this paper is only slightly reduced system performance, so it has a very good application value.
