Abstract :
In this paper, a new simple current waveshaping technique in CCM (continuous conduction mode), using inductor voltage sensing for a power factor correction rectifier based on an isolated Sepic converter is introduced and experimentally verified. The duty ratio is obtained by comparing an integrated signal of the rectified inductor voltage and a negative ramp carrier waveform. Using the proposed control technique, the following are not required: input voltage sensing; current sensing; an error amplifier in the current feedback loop; an analog multiplier/divider.
