Abstract :
This paper has a deal with the frequency range extension of microwave signal generator based on frequency multipliers. Emphasis is on the theory, design, and construction of the millimeter-wave multipliers including doubler and tripler employing planar GaAs Schottky-barrier diodes in a balanced configuration. Based on these multipliers, a source module is developed, which extends a microwave signal generator capability from 110 to 170 GHz with leveled output power.
