Abstract :
Nowadays, the most popular peer-to-peer applications operate on unstructured networks. This paper describes our research effort to design and implement an agent based search algorithm that allows for searching in unstructured decentralized network. In this algorithm, we models autonomous adaptive agents after several ecological concepts and mechanisms. We focus on the problem of actively changing the topology of the P2P network by utilizing Schelling´s segregation model to improve the efficiency of search.
