Abstract :
In this paper, a new feature set T-MFCC amalgamating Teager energy operator (TEO) and mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) is developed. The effectiveness of the newly derived feature set is demonstrated for the identification of twins in Marathi. The results are also compared with linear prediction cepstral coefficients (LPCC) for polynomial classifier of 3rd order approximation.
