Abstract :
Introduces a continuous model for friction torque of servo systems which involve stiction at extremely low velocities. This new friction model can be applied to both away from zero and close to zero velocity regimes. For high velocities this model reduces to the classical friction model while for very low velocities it allows for the realization of pre-sliding phenomena without the hysteresis effect
