Abstract
The amount of data generated by DNA sequencers is so large that in some cases it is now less expensive to repeat the experiment than to store the information generated by the experiment. Identifying which part of these data to use and developing algorithms for the analysis of these data is a formidable task. We consider some interesting algorithmic challenges related to large scale sequencing and its use in population genetics and disease associations.
