Abstract
Recently, the concept of aging intensity (AI) function has been introduced in the literature for evaluating the aging property of products or systems quantitatively. In this paper, the properties of AI function for various statistical models and aging classes defined in terms of AI function, are discussed. A new ordering, called aging intensity (AI) ordering is introduced, and its closure properties under different reliability operations are investigated.
