Title :
The electrostatic behaviour of clothing fabrics containing electrically conducting threads
Author_Institution :
British Textile Technol. Group, Didsbury, UK
Abstract :
This paper examines the antistatic behaviour of a selection of fabrics in terms of their suitability for use in flammable atmospheres and in clean rooms. Three sets of fabric are examined each containing different types of antistatic thread in grid patterns with spacings of 5, 10 and 20 mm. Two of the sets of plain woven, continuous filament polyester yarn. The third set is a plain wave of continuous filament nylon yarn
