Abstract :
Taxonomic clustering of species from next generation sequencing of microbiota is an important problem in metagenomics. This talk will focus on metagenomic samples obtained through 454 sequencing of 16S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) pool of the sample. These sequences serve as a good proxy for measuring species abundance since they are conserved among organisms within a species while diverging across species.
