Abstract :
The paper presents results required for constructing the spectral theory of two-dimensionally periodic structures. The analytical representation for the canonical Green function is derived, a natural domain for the spectral parameter (complex-valued frequency) is determined in the form of the infinite-sheeted Riemann surface, statements that allow one to estimate domain of localization for the elements of a spectral set.
