Abstract :
The steady state simulation of variable speed drives enables the performance of the drive to be predicted accurately and quickly and this can be extremely beneficial in both the industrial design and in the educational environment. Here, the author describes a range of variable speed drive system simulators which is very comprehensive, and very practical in use. They contain the knowledge and experience gained during 30+ years of designing and applying the real drives. They are unique in that this experience has been transferred into these user-friendly simulator programs from which all can benefit
