Abstract :
The piezoelectric ring transducer is an effective transducer which has the characters of simple structure, steady working state and wide applications. The finite element model of piezoelectric ring was established by ANSYS at first. Then the coupling between radial vibration and other vibration were optimized. Basing on results, the flat transmitting voltage response curve from 20 kHz to 60 kHz was obtained and the prototype for piezoelectric ring transducer was produced. At last, the prototype for transducer was tested in cistern. Analyzing the result of test, the transducer had excellent character of impedance, where the conductance of transducer was 1.4 mS and the maximal transmitting voltage response was 142 dB from 20 kHz to 60 kHz. The ripple of the transmitting voltage response did not exceed 5 dB. The transducer was an excellent broadband transducer.
