Abstract :
The synthesis of a large thinned array is unapproachable by using traditional method. Thus, global search algorithms are excellent in designing specific characteristics. In order to improve the side lobe performance of thinned array, immune algorithm (IA) is applied to array synthesis by optimizing array position in this paper. Examples with different thinning percentages have been proposed and optimized to demonstrate the functionality of this technique, and commendable results are achieved.
