Abstract :
This article shows simulation and experimental results of the dc microgrids interconnected with the power grid. By having different voltage levels the connection between microgrids and utility grid requires a converter responsible for this link. The TAB (Triple Active Bridge) converter was chosen for the connections between microgrids and utility grid, as it ensures the galvanic isolation of high frequency system and allows smooth exchange of power between the ports of the converter feeding the two grids and utility grid. Considering the current of the dc system, it is important to emphasize that a good dynamic response can be achieved with minimal control effort. For these reasons the system can be also used in applications such as UPS or Active Filter.
