Abstract
A micropower power programmable bandpass filter for use in bionic ears was built using a Gm-C topology with capacitive attenuation and subthreshold MOS operation. In a 1.5μm process and a 2.8V power supply, the filter demonstrates 66dB of dynamic range while operating on 2μW of power to filter between 5kHz and 10kHz. When filtering between 250Hz and 500Hz, the power consumption is less than 45nW.
