Abstract
This paper provides a practical analytical and numerical study to property of wave propagation in an isotropic elastic half-plane body induced by surface-bonded thickness-stretch piezoelectric actuator under high-frequency electric loads. By using integration of the normal strain and the boundary conditions and continuity conditions, the resulting elastic wave propagation can be exactly obtained. Effect of the geometry, the material combination, the loading frequency on the resulting wave propagation and wastage are shown by numerical results.
