Abstract
Design of a planar antenna with wide impedance bandwidth characteristic for mobile handset application is presented in this letter. To enhance the impedance bandwidth characteristic, a double-fed structure, a radiator with special shape and a protrude T-strip ground have been involved. The proposed antenna has a broadband of 1.44-11 GHz, which covers the GPS, DCS, PCS, IMT-2000, WLAN-IEEE 802.11b/g, and UWB bands.
