Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to identify and propose the minimum required surveillance sources for a Detect and Avoid (DAA) system. This proposal will outline high level DAA requirements and propose the minimum set of surveillance sources required to meet these requirements. More specifically, this paper will outline why ADS-B, TCAS II, Airborne Radar, and EO/IR sensors are likely to be the minimum surveillance set.
