Abstract :
Particulars of focusing of high-bandwidth pulses in terahertz frequency range by the cylindrical plano-convex lens were analyzed utilizing fourier transform based numerical methods. Both model pulse with gauss spatio-temporal profile and real terahertz field, generated by optical rectification of femtosecond laser pulse in electrooptic crystal were investigated. Shown that variant spectral components are focused in different points on the lens´ axis.
